Welcome to Glidespan. By downloading, installing, or using the Glidespan app ("the app"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use ("Terms"). Please read them carefully.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Glidespan, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the app.

2. Description of Service

Glidespan is a macOS application that provides a native interface for accessing Bluesky via the AT Protocol. The app:

  • Connects to your Bluesky account via App Password authentication
  • Reads and displays your timeline, notifications, messages, and other Bluesky content
  • Publishes posts, replies, and performs social actions on your behalf
  • Stores drafts, bookmarks, and preferences locally on your device

3. Account Requirements

To use Glidespan, you must:

  • Have a valid Bluesky account
  • Create an App Password in your Bluesky settings for authentication
  • Be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction)

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Bluesky account credentials.

4. Subscription and Payment

Glidespan offers a free tier and paid subscription tiers:

  • Free tier: Limited to 2 columns
  • Standard tier: Unlimited columns and all features
  • Payment is processed through Apple's App Store
  • Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
  • You can manage or cancel your subscription in your App Store account settings
  • Refunds are handled according to Apple's refund policies

A 14-day free trial is available for new users to experience the full feature set before subscribing.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the app for any unlawful purpose
  • Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the app
  • Interfere with or disrupt the app's functionality
  • Use automated systems to access the app in a manner that exceeds reasonable use
  • Share or transfer your subscription to others
  • Violate Bluesky's Terms of Service or Community Guidelines while using the app

6. Bluesky Integration

Glidespan relies on Bluesky's AT Protocol API to function. You acknowledge that:

  • Bluesky may change, limit, or discontinue their API at any time
  • Your use of Bluesky is subject to Bluesky's own Terms of Service
  • We are not responsible for changes to Bluesky's service that affect Glidespan's functionality
  • Bluesky is the source of truth for your social data; Glidespan is a client interface

7. Data and Content

You retain ownership of all content you create and post through Glidespan. By using Glidespan, you grant us permission to transmit your content to Bluesky solely for the purpose of providing the service.

Local data (drafts, bookmarks, preferences) remains on your device and is not transmitted to us.

8. Disclaimers

The app is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that:

  • The app will be error-free or uninterrupted
  • All Bluesky features will be available or function identically
  • Your local data will never be lost (maintain backups if critical)

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, profits, or business opportunities, arising from your use of the app.

10. Changes to the App and Terms

We reserve the right to:

  • Modify or discontinue the app at any time
  • Update these Terms at any time
  • Change subscription pricing with reasonable notice

Continued use of the app after changes to these Terms constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

11. Termination

You may stop using Glidespan at any time by:

  • Cancelling your subscription through the App Store
  • Deleting the app from your device
  • Revoking the App Password in your Bluesky settings

We may terminate or suspend your access if you violate these Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
